9:15-10:00 a.m.--Panel/Presentation on Innovation Incentives
This panel will give an overview of several of the state incentives available to support innovation companies. Some of the incentives covered will be the Digital Interactive Media tax credit, the Research and Development Tax Credit, the New Markets Tax Credit, and the Technology Commercialization Tax Credit.

During this portion of (Inno)State, we will hear from Louisiana companies who have benefited from various state incentives designed to further their growth. We will learn about the firms and what they do as well as how the various innovation incentives allowed them to prosper and grow.

During this panel, we will discuss the current status of access to capital and how to succeed in today’s marketplace. We will hear from both national experts on risk capital, as well as local investors from various groups.

During this segment of the day, we will hear from university Intellectual Property officials about cutting edge research being conducted in Louisiana universities that has true commercialization potential. These research areas represent the early stages of the innovation pipeline.
